Planinska vas is a small village in the Šentjur municipality in eastern Slovenia. It lies in the Posavje Hills hills to the east of Planina pri Sevnici. The area is part of the historical Lower Styria region. The municipality is now included in the Savinja statistical region.[2]

The local church is dedicated to the Saint Nicholas and belongs to the Sveti Vid na Planini parish. It dates to the late 15th century. The belfry was added in 1767 and the nave was vaulted in 1873.[3]
